Cultivating hope by Seeing the Not-Yet

Everything will change when Christ returns to make all things new, and so we imagine God’s garden-city in every neighborhood. We cultivate an eye for justice, mercy, and beauty where it’s most tempting to only see brokenness. We strive to labor from a place of rest even in broken places, trusting God to bring the harvest and heal all things when Christ returns and we’re at home in the garden-city of God.

Cultivating hope by Tending to What’s Growing + Nurturing New Starts

We’re gardeners, not empire-builders. Whether growing friendships, faith, or figs—we pay attention, go slow, and care for what’s in front of us. We join in with our neighbors for the good of the neighborhood. We go where the Spirit calls—the creativity of God is endless so we expect to be planting fresh expressions of the garden-city of God in our neighborhoods, city, and region.

Cultivating love through Life Together

We share meals, stories, prayers, and everyday help. We show up for one another. We root our lives in the Word of God and the Way of Jesus.

Cultivating love through Healing and Being Healed

We carry wounds—and we’re learning to forgive, be forgiven, and heal. Whole people help make whole communities. We are invited by Jesus to forgive as we’ve been forgiven. And hold space for differences— the church can be a place to hold differences and nuance with love.
